FUNCTIONS OF THE SECRETARY TO T.S.C - TEACHERS SERVICE COMMISSION

The Secretary shall be the Chief Executive Officer and shall be responsible for the discharge of functions as assigned under regulation 9.

The Secretary shall-

1. be the head of the secretariat;
2. be the accounting officer of the Commission;
3. be the custodian of all records of the Commission;
4. execute the decisions of the Commission;
5. assign duties to and supervise the staff of the Commission;
6. facilitate, coordinate and ensure the execution of the Commission’s mandate;
7. ensure staff compliance with public ethics and values;
8. general administration of the Commission; and
9. perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Commission.

The Commission may decentralize the performance of any of its functions to county or any other level and delegate its powers and functions to appointed agents in accordance with section 20 of the Act.
