Role of TSC - Teachers Service Commission

Main Objectives of National Education Management Information System (NEMIS).
01. Governance and Accountability:
NEMIS will enable the Ministry to efficiently and transparently allocate resources to learners with a view to enhancing maximum efficiency and value for the Kenyan tax payer. Disaggregated learner‐level data on educational expenditures will help policy makers establish the equity and efficiency in resource allocation for instance book ratios; pupil teacher ratios etc. It will also help purge ghost children and ensure that capitation allocation is used for intended purposes.
02. Unique Personal Identifier:
This is one of the hallmark features of the NEMIS. That every learner in Kenya will have a globally unique 6-character Unique Personal Identifier (UPI) of the form AAA-BBB used in their entire life time. This UPI will be used at every stage of the learner’s education.
03. School Code:
Another hallmark feature of NEMIS is the unique school code. Through NEMIS, each institution of learning will be issued a mandatory unique identifier of the form AAAA. Any school that will have no unique code shall be deemed not to be existing.
04. Evidenced Based Decision making and planning:
NEMIS data will be utilized for evidence based decision making at all levels of education. Data‐driven planning is known to be more effective for an education system as resources are allocated effectively. Likewise, Governments design and implement data‐driven policies that are based on facts and reality.
05. Monitoring and Evaluation:
Monitoring and Evaluation through an enhanced quality and assurance framework. NEMIS will generate education statistics on institutions, enrollment, human resources and physical facilities to facilitate this role.
The ugly side of Safaricom: How their algorithm is stealing your hard earned bundles (real experience)
Your bundles vanish in no time. Only smart algorithm can do this.
Note: this article is not for defamation purpose but a real life experience
Other than perennial and now frequent complains from users ranging from election malpractices, data bundles and monetary loans, Kenyan social media has never failed to raise concerns about Safaricom PLC and their questionable services. Here are just examples:
The complains are many you can see them here https://twitter.com/search?q=safaricom&src=typd
However don't make mistakes here, Safaricom have one of the best services in the world; thanks to mediocre services from other competitors. This is like a monopoly business and in every monopoly there must be exploitation aimed at the customers.
I have been using Safaricom services ever since I acquired my first phone dozens of years ago, however, with increasing number of complains, Safaricom has turned its reputation into a muddy sling arena.
In my personal experience, on 8th April,2019. I buy a record 3GB in a few hours, no downloads, no streaming data depletes, Safaricom laughs all the way to the bank. 9th April,2019. May Idle mobile phone uses 1 GB data in 2 hrs. It has never happened like this ladies and gentlemen. There are questions that need answers.

KENYAN SCHOOLS' FEES BREAKDOWN EFFECTIVE FROM 2018
On 24th November 2017, the Ministry of Education released a circular that was signed by Masese Robert N.M on behalf of the Principal Secretary explaining the new structure of school fees Kenyan parents are supposed to pay in the following year[2018 and beyond].
This was a relief to parents who used to pay hiked fees that dwarfed the cost of education in a university in a country engulfed by cartels and corrupt beureaucrats.
This exercise was seen as the government effort to enroll students to secondary schools straight from primary school as a direct transition to reduce dropouts.
Below is a breakdown of the school fees that Kenyan secondary schools are supposed to implement.
day schools fees structure
Boarding schools fees structure- category A: all National schools and extra county schools in the following towns: Nairobi, Mombasa, Nakuru, Kisumu and Eldoret.
Boarding schools fees structure- category B: boarding schools and extra county schools in other areas
