  1. They are sinless (Ma’asuumin)
  2. They are  created from Noor
  3. They are invisible
  4. They do not have a will of their own.
  5. They have no physical desires e.g. sleep
  6. Angels are neither male nor female
  7. They do not require human necessities e.g. eating
  8. They are obedient to Allah’s commands
  9. Angels can change and assume a human form according to Allah’s will i.e. have no material bodies
  10. They always glorify Allah all the time

  1. When one the believes in Allah, he surrenders all his life to Him and becomes his real servant.
  2. This therefore makes him to fulfil God’s commands and eventually maintain law and order in society
  3. Belief in Allah produces in a believer a high degree of self-respect and confidence. He/she knows that he/she depends on non other than Allah for the fulfillment of his/her needs.
  4. Believes Allah alone has power to do good or harm on him/her.
  5. Makes a believer humble and modest. He/her is never arrogant. He/her knows that everything is controlled by Allah. He is the one who gives and the one who takes away from one what he pleases.
  6. It makes the believer to be dutiful and upright. The believer knows that everybody will be asked to give an account of his/her responsibility by Allah on the Day of Judgment. Therefore the believer should not feel proud and boastful when he/she has something.
  7. Belief in Allah makes a believer contented for he knows that Allah will take care of all his/her needs if he/she is obedient and hardworking.
  8. It makes the believer brave and courageous as he/she knows that it ¡s only Allah who safeguards and protects.
  9. Makes a believer to be patient and persevering as he/she knows that whatever the problems,Allah will solve them eventually.
  10. Make a believer submit completely to the will of Allah.
  11. Liberates a believer from the worship of idols/false gods.
  12. It is the basis on which believers unite regardless of race, colour, nationality or social status.
  13. Inculcates good values/virtues. Builds good character based on piety and righteousness/Taqwa.
  14. Inculcates tranquility and peace of mind in the believer.

Challenges faced by the prophets of Allah in their mission
  1. Rejection by the people to whom they were sent. People refused to listen to their messages e.g. Prophet Muhammad (P.b.u.h) was rejected by the Quraish, NabiNuh was rejected by his people.
  2. Persecution for what they preached and stood for. Prophet Muhammad (P.b.u.h) was persecuted by the Quraish through social boycott, abuses, intimidation e.t.c. Nabi Ibrahim was thrown into a burning fire. NabiNuh was mocked and taunted by his people.
  3. Temptations to commit sin e.g. the devil tried to convince Nabi Ibrahim not to sacrifice his son.
  4. Threatened with death : Prophet Muhammad, (P.b.u.h), NabiIssa (AS) were threatened with death
  5. Exiled from their homes. Nabi Musa (A.S) Prophet Muhammad (P.b.u.h) had to leave their homes due to the hostilities from their people.
  6. Opposition and ridicule; Prophet Muhammad (P.b.u.h), NabiNuh (A.S) were openly ridiculed and opposed by their people.
  7. Lack of trust; they were challenged to prove their authenticity through miracles.
