STATE REASONS WHY IS RECOMMENDED TO HAVE STANDARD FURNITURE IN THE COMPUTER LABORATORY

What it means by standard furniture

These are tables, chairs and shelves that have the quality required to set them up in the computer laboratory for use of computers and computer users.
There are two common types of furniture that can be found in the computer laboratory namely:
  1. Chairs
chairs support liveware (computer users) while using computers
  2. Tables
tables support computers (hardware) and their peripheral devices such as printers and scanners.

Why standard furniture?

Picture
  1. Chairs support computer users while using computers in the following ways;
    1. they should have a straight backrest to prevent computer users from straining to find comfort and also to avoiding back pains.
    2. They should be high enough to raise the user's eyes be on the same level with the screen. This prevents eye strain and neck pains.
    3. They should be strong enough to accommodate weight of the computer user. This avoids breaking thus felling the user.
  2. Tables should be strong enough to:
    1. Support computers and other peripheral devices. This prevents them from falling down which may cause damage
    2. They should be enhanced in a way that cables can easily laid between computer parts and the power source to avert distractions and untidiness.
    3. They should be wide enough to make usage of the keyboard and the mouse more easier

This is a digital computer; computers that process data which is discontinuous (discrete) in nature. Yourdictionary.com further adds that, these are computers that process data which is inform of digits called binary digits represented by 0s and 1s
Mathsisfun.com describes discrete data as a type of data that can only take certain values such as the number of students in a class can only be represented as a whole number (this data can either be 40 or maybe 60 but it can never be 60.5 (this is continuous data)); continuous data is represented with values which can be rational such as the height of a person, weight or mass of a body or time in a race.
In addition Numerical Data can be Discrete or Continuous: Discrete data is counted while Continuous data is measured
    1. DEDICATED COMPUTERS

      dedicated computers
Dedicated computers are general purpose computers however these computers are devoted to carry out one task only. For instance, a general purpose computer can be devoted for accounting in a bank or office, as a teaching aid in a school or for graphic editing in a studio or engineering firm.
      1. MAINFRAME COMPUTERS

      mainframe
When computers are classified according to their physical size, the word mainframe is always mentioned. This is a type of computer which is the second largest of all computers, only second after super computers but bigger than mini and micro computers. They are relatively more powerful in processing with large capacity in memory and storage but inferior to super computers if measured in capabilities.
