Each state in US has a number of electoral college votes. For example:
If a presidential candidate wins popular votes in a state even if it is by 0.01%, he gets all the electoral college votes from that state.
For example, if Trump wins popular votes in Oklahoma, he gets all the 7 electoral college votes in his tally. And if Biden Wins popular vote in Minnesota, he gets all the 10 electoral college votes in his tally.
For a presidential candidate to win US presidential elections, he/she must amass more than 270 out of 538 electoral college votes which is more than half of the total number (538).
