Areas that you need to cover in Milestone 1 for the KCSE Computer Studies Project

Since year 2019, the procedure for doing the KCSE Computer studies project changed after an overhaul to enhance accountability and control cheating of paper 3.

Assessment of this paper is in 2 Phases namely:

1. Milestone 1
2. Milestone 2

In this piece, I will highlight those areas you must have covered before assessment is done before marks are delivered through KNEC portal.

Since the project is normally unleashed in March of every year unless the academic calendar is changed due to Covid-19 interruptions. However you will have at least 2 month after its release to cover this topics before your teacher marks them

   2. Overview of the existing system
   3. Overview of the proposed system
2. System Design
   1. Use of design tools such as
      1. Flowcharts or data flow diagrams/ERDs
   2. Table designs (Tables)
   3. Input screen designs (Forms)
   4. Output Screen Designs (Reports)
