- Solution B – 0.07M acidified potassium Manganate (VII)
- Burette 50ml
- Pipette filter
- Pipette 25ml
- Thermometer (-10-110)oC
- 10cm3 measuring cylinder
- 2 conical flask
- 250ml volumetric flask
- Means of labeling
- Solid P – mixture Bacl2 and CaO in the ratio of 3:1 (measure about 0.5g)
- Solid Q – 0.5g of maleic acid
- Source of heat
- Metallic spatula
- Test tube holder
- Filter paper
- Filter funnel
- 6 test tubes
- Boiling tube
Accessible to the following.
- 2m sodium hydroxide solution with dropper
- 2m hydrochloric acid with dropper
- Methyl orange indicator with dropper
- 4M sodium sulphate solution
- Acidified potassium dichromate (VI)with a dropper
- Acidified potassium manganate (VII) with a dropper
- Bromine water – with a dropper.
