Are you tired of failing? Try this formula

4/3/2016

Most students and scholars in general tend to have common goals/objectives and these objectives are nothing far other than academic success. People dream of scoring a distinction in all subjects, some wish this would happen but cannot trace the formula for doing it.
Attitude, laziness, absenteeism, lack of proper planning, psychological effects and other factor are the reasons why most students fail. Due this enormous number of factors that contribute to poor performance, its  in good faith scholars to first understand their weaknesses before attempting to apply any solutions. I have been a teacher for over a decade now in a girls school, I will use my observation and experience to draw solutions for rampant weaknesses that most scholars tend to suffer on.
In this article I will assume that each student has the same educational environment both at home and at school, however psychology takes the lion's share on success or failure of any student. Most students who are settled and courageous to face challenges head-on, tend to out perform cowards, shy, mouthy and attention seekers. The following factors do not focus on personality types but mere factors which can be used as an ideology for great academic prowess. In order to perform;

1. Follow your dreams (attitude)

How do you follow your dreams? Let first your dreams be known to you. You can sit and draw or write what you want to achieve and how you want to achieve it. Its always easy to speculate what you want, But, trust me, its not easy to draw a formula on how to achieve it, when to achieve it and stirringly follow the road to achieving it. This requires perseverance, consistence, faith and courage. Not many people have the guts to attempt and that is why successful people are less in number because the world is crowded with people who think the same way.  Memorize the concept on your goals and how they will be achieved, when it will be achieved. It is easier to plan than achieve and that I will tell you to believe in your dreams because they are valid. Attitude will develop a habit that will also develop a culture. " success is culture"

2. Give everything, you have nothing to lose (attitude)

If you want to achieve everything, give everything, follow the road less travelled, you need strength to travel, courage to browse, faith to believe and determination to succeed. If you aim and focus on what you want, you will never look at the clock, instead you will be doing what it does "keep moving" and it doesn't matter how slow you move as long as you don't stop.

3. Surround yourself with great people (peer)

Peer
Great people are people who stand with the truth, people who are aggressively ambitious and who take good friendship at heart. These are the people who share common personality types with you and will always correct you no matter how much pain it hurts- this are a true friends. How to relate with good people
Group work: form group work discussions, forums and peer counseling programs with them. Unity will always move mountains

Personality type: Surround yourself with people of the same personality types as yours. This will help you develop faster

Great people, philosophers, role models: choose people with a difference not attention seekers, hung up with intellectuals, development conscience people, aggressive at heart and strong in character

4. Solve your problems with modern solutions (be scientific in your approach)

Never use an old solution to a new problem, try to be innovative and be scientific in your approach. Try to extract figures from theories because figures communicate clearer. If your goals are far from being achieved, don't change the goals, change your approach and the path

5. Do not procrastinate (attitude)

Never postpone what you can do today, by postponing, you are either spilling your problem to the next day or giving another person a chance to overtake you. Life is full of challenges which needs instant answers. Batch processing is never the best.

6. Thoroughly analyze your performance after a given period of time (evaluation)

Evaluate your progress in a given period of time, this will track your development record that you miserably need as a feedback to plan for greater things ahead. When you know where you are, you will know where to go

7. Conceptualize the power of repetition (attitude)

Repeating something over and over again brings forth perfection and precision. Repetition passes the concept from the short term memory to the sub-conscious memory. If you want to prove this ideology, try with video games " the more you play the game, the perfect you become" if you can apply this fact in real life, no doubt you are a success.

8. Don't give in to criticism, use it to rise (attitude)

Criticism is a feedback and the best way to use feedback is to embrace them and use them to climb the ladder. Minding a lot about it will only drive you to failure.

9. Learn how to manage time (attitude)

Time and tide wait for no man, Time well spent is like a holiday, it gives you an element of satisfactory

10. Always be Positive and holistic (spiritual)

Be a complete person who balances life on both perspectives, Be positive always and learn to forgive. Peace of the mind is like food of thought. Its part and parcel on your journey to success and success is never inherited nor donated, success is sought after. Go after yours…..

Summary

Finally, success can be narrowed down into four factors. Namely:
  1. Attitude
  2. Evaluation
  3. Peer and
  4. Spiritual
