Oops! Not now please. The '2017 leakage' going rounds could be a hoax

A student sitting for this year's KCSE examinations has nothing to worry about '2017 leakages' because the rumors going around the social media could be a hoax. There are a number of reasons why the mathematics paper spread among whatsapp users could not be real. The social media went viral this morning with people posting what looked like an evidence of the paper purported to have leaked. One blogger Robert Alai Onyango appended this message on his facebook wall

For others, it was prime time to spread hate speech

However I tend to think that the papers going rounds on the social media could be fake and here are some reasons why

1. The demand for leakages is so high, it might be the reason that drove malicious people to make counterfeit papers for selling
2. The paper that was shared on whatsapp was neither scanned nor captured by a camera or phone camera. The paper to me looked like a typed word processing document that was saved as PDF, This can only be possibly true if the source of the paper is from Mitihani house or printers but not third party
3. KCPE examinations went on smoothly without cause of alarm, The KCSE rumors may be a sabotage exercise
4. Why there is only mathematics paper spreading around and not other subjects creates more doubts more than answers
5. A number of people have been arrested in connection to leaking of examinations, The Government is not joking on this one
6. The timings at which the paper is making rounds is a cause of anxiety whose objectives I hope is to confuse candidates

Let us not confuse these students further, we have an obligation as children of this nation to support education CS Dr. Matiang'i to build an education system that befits our people and gets the best out of us. Please report malicious activities to MOEST
