Twitter reacts to examinations cheatings

Kenyan Twitter users have reacted angrily to the way the KCPE and KCSE examinations 2015 leaked with a cross section of the public condemning the vice as retrogressive and a step toward the wrong direction. @Kimwemimosa expressed his concern by lack of genuine professionals in the near future

Examinations cheating in Kenya has been a norm however this year (2015), it was given a media coverage that even forced examinations officials to the drawing table. Some schools will do everything to buy examinations while in other schools, teachers spearhead the cheating process to increase revenue for motivation pay. parents have not been left behind either, some parents fund their children to buy examination leakages. This begs the question, Why all these years nothing has never been done to stop the vice until media gave it a coverage?

@NationFMKe twitted KNCHR urging the education ministry to suspend the ongoing KCSE examinations. The CS. Education Mr. Kaimenyi has been controversial though, by claiming that there is no evidence to show that examinations were leaked even after part of evidence screened by media houses

So what will be the outcome of cheating?

Cheating has numerous excesses as compared to pros. some of the excesses of cheating are experienced today in Kenya and they include:

1. The system produces bogus leaders - A school is the source workforce in the society and just as a river source, if the graduates are dirty, the society will also be dirty just as the river will be dirty. Don't expect positive changes in future
2. Our graduates will be denied opportunities abroad and our education system will be rejected by other countries. Cheating in examinations is like printing money to become rich only to realize that your money will depreciate in value
3. Disadvantaging bright students - Cheating disadvantages bright students whose contribution to the society is fundamental to growth
4. Bad Culture - Cheating creates a bad culture in the society and its the reason why public funds are embezzled and there is no rule of law in our society because almost every Government worker is a cheat. Its a clear journey to the world of oblivion
