Form 3 MathematicsThe diagram below represents a cuboid ABCDEFGH in which FG= 4.5 cm, GH = 8cm and HC = 6 cm Calculate: (a) The length of FC ( 2 marks) (b) (i) the size of the angle between the lines FC and FH ( 2 marks) (ii) The size of the angle between the lines AB and FH ( 2 marks) (c) The size of the angle between the planes ABHE and the plane FGHE (2mks) Form 1 Mathematics
A garden is in the shape of a right angled triangle. The length of the shortest side is l7 m and the area of the garden is 346.8 m2. Calculate the length of the longest side of the garden.
Form 2 Mathematics
A piece of wire is bent into the shape of an isosceles triangle. The base angles are each 48° and the perpendicular height to the base is 6 cm. Calculate,
correct to one decimal place, the length of the wire. A point A is directly below a window. Another point B is 15 m from A and at the same horizontal level. From B angle of elevation of the top of the bottom of the window is 300 and the angle of elevation of the top of the window is 350. Calculate the vertical distance.(a) From A to the bottom of the window A man walks directly from point A towards the foot of a tall building 240 m away. After covering 180 m, he observes that the angle of the top of the building is 45. Determine the angle of elevation of the top of the building from A. ( 3 marks)A hillside is in the form of a plane inclined at an angle of 300 to the horizontal. A straight section of road 800 metres long lies along the line of greatest slope from a point A to a point B further up the hillside.
