Victory is from Allah (S.W) hence we should pray to Him to be victorious
Allah is the most forgiving hence we should repent to Him and ask for forgiveness
When we excel in any activity we should thank Allah
Islam will prevail over falsehood hence we should stick to the truth
Makkah was conquered peacefully and large number entered Islam
The surah was an indication that prophet P.B.U.H had accomplished his mission

The teaching of Surah Asr.

Heathens are at a loss.
Investment in material world is loss.
importance of time Allah swears by it
Allah has the right to swear by his creatures
it is Shirk for the creatures to swear by creation.
Believers are successful.
belief is not by desire but by good deeds.
be truthful and enjoin the truth.
be patient & enjoin patience.

The types of punishments mentioned in Suratul Nur are:-

The flogging of one hundred (100) stripes for a fornicator and fornicatress.
Adulterers should marry adulteresses.
Those who slander on chaste women and produce no evidence should be flogged of eighty (80) stripes.
Those who launch a charge against their wives and have no evidence they should testify four (4) times and invoke a curse on themselves the fifth time (Oath of Lian)
The unbelievers should not think that they can escape in the earth, their abode is Hell Fire.
